What our LPG gas installation covers
An LPG installation is the pipe or hose that carries gas from your cylinder and its regulator to each appliance. We supply the parts, fit them and test every joint.
Kitchen gas pipe fitting
Gas pipe fitting in your kitchen starts at the cylinder. We run a new pipe or hose to your stove, hob or burners, or move and extend the pipe you already have. Our staff fit rubber hose, braided hose, copper pipe and GI (galvanised iron) pipe.
Need a new regulator too? See our gas cylinder regulator fitting and leak checks.
Gas geyser and heater connections
We connect gas geysers and room gas heaters to LPG, including the gas geyser pipe fitting from the cylinder. A geyser built for Sui gas can be changed to run on LPG first.
Restaurants and businesses
Restaurant and commercial kitchens may feed several burners from one line, or join two or more cylinders on a single line. We fit both, and we can supply the gas through our LPG supply for restaurants and hotels. For a factory, we also install bulk tanks and gas lines to machines, burners and boilers: see bulk LPG supply and tank installation.
How a gas installation works
A gas installation with Gas Link follows five simple steps, from your first call to the final leak test.
- Call or WhatsApp: give us your address, your cylinder size and the appliances that need connecting.
- Agree the visit: we confirm the price of the visit on the call and book a time that suits you, day or night.
- Fitting: our trained staff fit the pipe or hose and connect your stove, burners, geyser or heater.
- Leak test: each joint gets a soapy-water test before the technician leaves.
- Payment: pay for the visit and parts by cash, JazzCash, Easypaisa or bank transfer.

Where your LPG cylinder should go
Recognised LPG safety guidance gives these rules for where a cylinder stands:
- Upright and secured: keep the cylinder standing up and fixed so it cannot fall over.
- Fresh air, no heat: pick a well-ventilated place away from the stove, heaters and other hot surfaces, even when the cylinder is empty.
- Never below ground: don’t keep or use a cylinder in a basement, below ground level or beside a drain. LPG is heavier than air, so leaking gas gathers low down.
- Clear of exits: not on an escape route, and not by the stairs.
- A short, safe hose: as short as practical but never pulled tight, away from hot surfaces and held with hose clips.
- No flames: never use a match or lighter to look for a leak.

Gas geysers and heaters need fresh air
A gas geyser or heater needs plenty of fresh air to burn properly, so keep the room ventilated, as WorkSafe New Zealand advises. An appliance that is badly installed or maintained can give off carbon monoxide, a poisonous gas.
Headache, sickness or dizziness while the appliance is on? Switch it off and have it checked. Liquid Gas UK advises a service for indoor gas appliances every year, and WorkSafe advises businesses to have their gas installation checked once a year.
LPG installation or a Sui gas connection?
We install LPG cylinder systems, not Sui gas house lines. For natural gas you apply to SNGPL, which surveys the house line and lists the enlisted contractors who install and test it (SNGPL’s connection procedure).
| Question | LPG cylinder installation (Gas Link) | Sui gas connection (SNGPL) |
|---|---|---|
| Where does the gas come from? | Cylinders delivered to your door | SNGPL’s gas pipeline |
| Who fits the pipes? | Gas Link’s trained staff | An SNGPL-enlisted houseline contractor |
| How do you start? | Call or WhatsApp us | Apply to SNGPL for a survey and a demand notice |
LPG also makes a good back-up. In a Google review, Adnan M. points out that “you always need a good backup” during extreme load shedding.

Gas installation questions
How much does a gas installation cost?
It depends on the work and the parts, so we give prices on request. We confirm the visit price when you call, and pipes, hoses and fittings are charged at the price we quote. Payment is by cash, JazzCash, Easypaisa or bank transfer.
Can you connect a gas geyser to an LPG cylinder?
Yes: we connect gas geysers and room heaters to LPG with the pipe or hose they need, and we leak-test every joint. Keep the room well ventilated. If anyone gets a headache or feels sick or dizzy while the geyser is on, switch it off and have it checked.
Do you install gas lines for restaurants and businesses?
Yes: we fit lines that feed several burners in restaurant and commercial kitchens, and we can join two or more cylinders on one line. We can supply the gas as well. For factories and large sites, we also supply and install bulk LPG tanks and the lines from them.
Do you fit Sui gas (natural gas) pipes?
No, we install LPG systems only. A Sui gas house line is planned by SNGPL after you apply, then fitted and tested by one of its enlisted houseline contractors. We can still set you up with LPG as a back-up for low-pressure days.
Can you change my Sui gas stove to LPG?
Yes. We change Sui gas stoves and geysers so they run on LPG, connect them to your cylinder and test each joint with soapy water. Tell us which appliance you have when you call, and we’ll give you the price.
Can I fit a gas pipe myself?
It’s safer not to: LPG safety guidance says gas appliances should be installed and serviced by someone trained for the work. A loose joint can leak, and LPG gathers low down. If you’re unsure about your current set-up, book a leak check, and never hunt for a leak with a flame. Here is how to check for a gas leak safely.
Can a technician come at night?
Yes. Gas Link technicians work 24/7, day and night, anywhere in Lahore. Send a WhatsApp message with your address and what needs connecting, or call +92 300 6140981 to agree a time.
